Frequently Asked Questions

Are you in person or virtual? I am in person only. However, if you are unable to make an appointment last minute but can be reached by telephone, that option may be available.

What age of clients do you work with? I work with adults 18+ and older throughout the lifespan. In addition to adults, I also work with children and teenagers for those seeking therapy solely for BFRBs.

What is session length and frequency? Appointments are 45 minutes. If you are interested in a longer session (75 minutes) please contact me regarding availability and pricing. I offer once per week session options.

How long will we work together? It depends. Sometimes therapy can be brief, other times it can be years.

Do you take insurance? Yes, I accept BCBS and UHC. I also accept private pay.

Cost? $200 per 45 minutes. I require clients to maintain a card on file and I will bill the card once the session is complete if you are private pay. You are responsible for any deductible or copay.

Cancellation policy? I require a 24-hour notice of cancellation. Meaning, you must contact me outside of the 24-hour window. I offer 1 free cancellation within 24 hours at no charge. After this has been used, you will be responsible to pay for the full session. It is important that we meet consistently to make progress.

Do you prescribe medication? No, I do not prescribe medications. If you want to be evaluated for psychiatric medication, contact your primary care physician or a psychiatrist. If you are already taking medication, I can coordinate care with your prescriber.

Other things? I do not work with couples at this time. I do not conduct child custody evaluations, nor do I provide custody recommendations. I also do not provide treatment for eating disorders or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Additionally, I do not write emotional support animal (ESA) letters.
